Due to very very popular demand - Retaggr email signatures have arrived

June 18th, 2008 by ivailo

Since we launched retaggr a month ago, there has been one feature that people have asked for over and over and over - a retaggr email signature. A way to embed your card into the emails that you send.

The way most people did it, was to add the URL of their card into their email signatures, but most wanted something more exciting and so after working through all the options of what email clients can do we bring you the first version of the email signature.

The way it works is that we create a badge (a snapshot) similar to your card, which will include your photo, name, company, position and telephone number (as long as you have provided them) as well as icons the icons of your online profiles and widgets.

For example below is mine:

The badge is linked to your card so if anyone clicks on it they would get taken to your card with its full functionality.

We have a bunch more ideas, but we thought we launch it in its current form and get feedback from you as to how you use it, what you like or don’t like about it?

When you log into your retaggr account, click on email signatures to get yours.

[...] The widget means people can view information on the card without having to leave the site where the card is embedded. What retaggr is finding is that 59% list their blog on their card, while 46% add twitter. Then it goes to YouTube, delicious, flickr , Skype, LastFM, GTalk, LinkedIn and FriendFeed in that order. They are finding that mail signature badge is popular (see here). [...]
